BAUROM CONSTRUCT is a private company created in 1995, having steel distribution as its main activity.
History
2000: The activity of the company starts to change from trading to distribution after renting a warehouse north of Bucharest.
2004: The company buys a 25 000 sqm logistic area located to the northwest of Bucharest, near the ring road.
2005: Baurom Construct starts to sell long products – profiles, angles and pipes.
2006: Our company adds reinforcement steel to its distribution line.
2007: BAUROM CONSTRUCT starts producing metal structures and acquires the capacity for cutting and bending rebars after building a brand new factory fully equipped with new plasma cutting systems, profiles cutting machines, welding equipment, cutting and bending machines, and highly qualified personnel.
At the end of the same year the company becomes the third largest metal distribution company.
2008: The company reaches a distribution capacity of 85 000 tones, generating a turnover of approx. 67.886.055 EUR, thus making Baurom the second largest metal distributor in Romania.
In 2007 and 2008 the company finished building 3 industrial halls with a total area of 7000 sqm.
Our main clients are:
- industrial companies – cars, naval, petrol tanks producers;
- construction companies – metal structures, concrete structures;
- resellers, retailers.
The average stock is 5000 ÷ 6000 tones.

Technical Support
Our main warehouse, located in the industrial area of the town of Chitila, consists of:
- Open storage area for flat products of 3.000 sqm, with a 16 to. portal-crane;
- Open storage area for steel beams, profiles and other long products, of 2.000 sqm, with a 12,5 to. bridge-crane;
- Warehouse for pipes, tubes, cold rolled and galvanized sheets;
- Warehouse for debars in rods and in coils;
- Warehouse for the imported welding consumables;
- Railway infrastructure of 2 separate railways;
- Electric transformer – 600 kVA;
- Tri-phase electric power-source – 200 k VA (diesel generator – ensures a continuous activity in case of power failure);
- 2 truck cranes of 16 to. force each;
- 1 new fork lift of 8 to. force;
- 1 fork lift of 3,5 to. force;
- 1 automotive excavator;
- 1 telescopic, articulated lift for 14 m. lifting height and 16 m. working height.
